IEEE PEAC 2018 successfully held

The 2nd IEEE International Power Electronics and Application Conference and Exposition (IEEE PEAC 2018) was successfully held during November 4-7, 2018, in Shenzhen, China. IEEE PEAC 2018 was co-sponsored by China Power Supply Society (CPSS) and IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS). Prof. Dehong Xu, President of CPSS ; Prof. Fred C. Lee, academician of National Academy of Engineering and foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Prof. Kemao Zang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Prof. Alan Mantooth, President of IEEE PELS; Stephen Oliver, President of Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA), and Prof. Eui-Cheol Nho, President of the Korean Institute of Power Electronics (KIPE), attended the meeting and there were more than 800 representatives from 31 countries and regions.<img src="http://file.cpss.org.cn/Resource/UploadFile/6370313019274547523986503.jpg" width="600" height="400" title="" alt=""/>&nbsp;FIG. 1 Conference Site <img src="http://file.cpss.org.cn/Resource/UploadFile/6370313019278649018000595.jpg" width="600" height="400" title="" alt=""/>FIG. 2 Conference Site IEEE International Power Electronics and Application Conference and Exposition (PEAC) is an international conference for presentation and&nbsp; discussion of the state-of-the-art in power electronics, energy conversion and its applications. It is also a large-scale international conference launched by CPSS and held in China regularly. The conference is technically sponsored by Power Sources Manufacturers Association(PSMA), the Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers (KIEE)，the Institute of Electrical Engineer Japan-Industrial Applications Society (IEEJ-IAS) and National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).IEEE PEAC 2018 focused on power electronics, energy conversion and their applications, especially power supply and related technologies. The conference received more than 722 paper submissions from 31 countries and regions, which was a significant increase compared with the first conference. After peer review process 479 high quality papers were accepted in the proceedings. The conference included plenary speeches, tutorials, industry sessions, technical sessions, dialogue sessions, exhibitions, etc. It facilitated exchange and discussion of the latest technology, scientific achievements and engineering education in this field.
